If you've ever wanted to write a romance novel, this class is for you! Maggie teaches the basics of story dynamics including where to get story ideas, creating character archetypes, determining the central story question, and how to use a conflict diagram. Also discussed are some tricks to untie those plot knots and modern plot diagramming using turning points and scene beats. You'll also learn manuscript preparation and how to submit to agents and editors. There's writing exercises to get those creative juices flowing and you'll leave with lots of handouts and resources.
Even if you're not into writing a romance, you'll find the same writing principles apply to other genres as well. So come on and join us!

Send Maggie a little yellow rubber duck with your name, address, e-mail written on the bottom in permanent ink. If you're creative, dress it in a little costume! All the duckies received each month will go into a drawing and one lucky winner will receive a prize! Then, once a year all the duckies get to participate in a duckie race and the lucky winner gets a prize. So, you have two chances to win! And yes, if it's dressed the cutest, you'll get something, too!
